If you have not made a square, please visit our MAKE A SQUARE page and see how easy it is to add your voice to bring awareness to the public forefront and show unity for all our fellow patients, families, and caregivers. Remember, no sewing skills are needed to make a square.
Book a quilt panel for any reason you can think of, no matter how small of an event !! Our quilts have been all over the world. Our Mission is dedicated to doing more than "preaching to the choir." So think outside the box of IBD. You can book a panel for more than IBD-related events or meetings ~ please visit our BOOK A QUILT page.
- Consider booking a quilt to be on display at your house of worship. If anyone needs prayers, it is we IBD folks!
- Your IBD child can have a panel exhibited at school in a display case or in the office.
- Your local Civic and Service organizations ~ even Chamber of Commerce events ~ are good places to display an IBD Quilt. Jaycee meetings and events, United Way, Lions, Elks, Moose, Masons, VFW, Sertoma, Women of Today, Junior League, American Business Women's Association, ORT, Hadassah, JCC, YMCA, etc., just to name a few. The possibilities are endless!
- Consider booking a quilt for any gathering stemming from your involvement in any group or club of which you are a member ~ bridge, health, book, sewing, quilting, Mahjong, Bunko, etc. IBD Quilt Project can dress it up or keep it casual to be a welcomed part of any gathering.
- Your work place is also a great venue to hang a quilt especially if you are involved in a fundraising event for any one of our great digestive health organization partners.
Make a donation to the IBD Quilt Project. Please consider making a donation with your square submission, to help defray the cost of putting your square into a Quilt. We do not have any annual fundraising projects. We are a beneficiary of GET YOUR GUTS IN GEAR (GYGIG) and we graciously and gratefully accept donations. Each quilt costs about $600 to make. IQP will provide you with a tax deduction receipt for your tax records.IQP will work with you to include our educational and outreach materials to assist you with your display. We provide you with a hanging rack from which to hang 1-2 quilts. We can also include a DVD slide show of the quilt in action to run at your event. Total set-up takes about 5-10 minutes for the quilt(s) and display literature.
When a quilt is displayed, it becomes the catalyst for conversation, knowledge and awareness ~ the first steps towards empowerment and seeking help. We have seen people who were afraid to discuss symptoms find the courage to get the care they need. When people view our quilts, no matter where in the world the quilts have traveled, we see wonderful things happen. People cannot help but be moved by the heartfelt stories the quilts tell. People begin to talk to one another with compassion and care.
